The Rock Restaurant is built on a tiny ocean rock, in Zanzibar.
What more do we need than a little shack on a remote beach, to hang loose and relish eat fresh seafood? This lovely place is situated on a rock near the shore of the Michanwi Pingwe beach. Supposedly the restaurant serves a wide variety of sea food with a distinctly Zanzibari twist as well as a a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. (Photo: The Rock Restaurant by Ali) |

To get in or out depends on the tides: You will either have to swim or wait until the low tide, so you can walk in.
Once you are inside, the owner a local fisherman will bring you the catch of the day from the grill to the table. |
