How long have you been involved in photography already? How did it all start?
I have been doing photography for 13 years. I started with black and white 35mm, developing my own negatives and prints.
How does your environment and friends react on your art? Are there also critical voices?
All of my friends are really supportive of me and my work. They constantly compliment me on my art and note that it is constantly improving. I do get critics from time to time, every artist should. I believe that one of the best ways to grow is to hear what others DON’T like about your work.
How do you find your models?
Most of the models I work with find me, I do not find them. With the expansion and easiness of the web, that is the most common form of exposure. So models will find me on sites including Modelmayhem.com, Myspace.com, Deviantart.com, and my own site Fotobrad.com.
Where can we see in the future? Any vernissage in the pipeline?
In the future I plan to be a successful fashion photographer in New York. I have plans to move there next year to pursue my career. I do not currently have any showings planned.
What do you think is the meaning of art? And what is the meaning of life…?
I believe that the meaning of art is a simply put as self expression. Anytime you create something that is an extension of yourself then you have created art. Whether it be photography, sculpting, painting, acting, singing, or anything else. Art is a passion, a way of life.
As for the meaning of life… that’s simply the pursuit of happiness.
