Enjoy ‘The Host of Seraphim’ by the enchanting Dead Can Dance.

Dead Can Dance were a neoclassical world music duo from Melbourne, Australia. It consisted of Lisa Gerrard with her ethereal voice and Brendan Perry. The band relocated to London in May 1982.

As ist says on Lisa Gerrard’s website:
"With Lisa’s otherworldly voice counter-poised by Brendon’s mellifluous tones, from the outset, they thought nothing of setting discordant electric guitars and dark, rolling bass lines against cellos, trombones and timpani…"

The video shows extracts of the hypnotic art movie ‘Baraka’.

Lisa Gerrard "Music is a Place to take Refuge.
It’s a Sanctuary from Mediocrity and Boredom.
It’s Innocent and it’s a Place you can loose yourself in Thoughts, Memories and Intricacies…"

(Lisa Gerrard)

Director Ron Fricke filmed Baraka in 1992. It’s a non-narrative experimental documentary art movie which has no conventional plot, but consists of a collection of expertly photographed scenes with an emphasis of highly environmental themes.

The word baraka means ‘blessing’ in a multitude of languages. The movie is often compared to ‘Koyaanisqatsi’, of which Ron Fricke was cinematographer.

Remember those old arcade computer games?

One of the most famous ones was (and of course still is) Tetris, a puzzle video game originally programmed and designed by Alexey Pajitnov in the Soviet Union which was released in summer of 1984.

Directed by Patrick Jean of Onemoreprod in Paris, this video shows an attack of pixels. Some scenes besides Tetris simulate Donkey Kong, Space Invaders and the breakout game Arkanoid.
